RuneScape

The Story

I began playing RuneScape back in the day of classic, but quickly got bored of the “stupid” Java game after dying and losing everything I had. A few years later at the start of 2004 I made a new account “Saron12432″ as a member. Unfortunately after training him to level 85 (a “high” level at the time) he was stolen by one of my friends. I suspect he later sold the account of eBay. :P Later in October of 2004 I began “Iamahobbit” as a joke file, playing it occassionally but mainly logging on to harass other players with lame insults that I thought were mildly funny. By December I had begun playing it on a regular basis, and started the “training” of my account. I quickly finished all the nonmember quests and aspired myself to become the greatest nonmember of RuneScape (I figured Zezima had already won the spot for best member). However, training skills high in nonmembers was much harder than I imagined. I eventually, like most people, slackened my RuneScape pace and started playing once or twice a week at best. Too satisfy myself without RuneScape I joined a forum that I had been visiting for a quite a while called RuneScape Bits and Bytes. RSB&B kept me attached to RuneScape without having to play it. I was able to talk about it, view other’s achievements, and dream about getting as good as other forum members. I kept my slow pace of playing until May of 2007. By that time, my account had become reasonably “good” for a nonmembers but I finally felt it was time to go members. I received members on “Iamahobbit” in July of 2007 and have been playing on a regular basis to this day.

Now

Today, I am still playing RuneScape and continue to keep in touch with my older RuneScape friends along with friends from RSB&B. Currently I am working towards 99 cooking, which would become my first 99 skill. I am still very new to most of the “newer” members benefits but I am gradually learning them.
